Sebastian Coe

Olympic Gold medalist turned President of World Athletics, Lord Sebastian Coe has dedicated his career to international sports and performance. A key figure in athletic administration, Sebastian has been pivotal in the success of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympics amongst other global events. Backed by four decades in sports, Sebastian now uses his unique position to instil the qualities required to reach peak performance both in audiences personal and professional lives.

First representing team Great Britain at the 1980 Olympics in Moscow, Sebastian stepped onto the track as the then World Record holder in 1500 meters, and went on to win the event, taking Gold and a further Silver in the 800 meters. A favourite to win four years later Sebastian repeated his success, achieving Gold in the 1500 meters, and setting an Olympic record in the process. He remains the only competitor to win consecutive 1500-meter Golds at the Olympics. Outside of the Games Sebsastin enjoyed a high-profile career, winning first place at the 1981 World Cup and the 1986 European Athletic Championships both in the 800 meters, a dominating competitor in the sport.

Since retiring, Sebastian has continued to dedicate himself to the running of international sports organizations, including hosting the bid for the London 2012 Olympics and acting as Chairman of the committee for the event. Recognized for his extensive experience in the industry, Sebastian was voted as the President of the International Association of Athletics Federation in 2015 and has recently been elected to the International Olympic Committee.

Receiving a Knighthood for his contributions to global sports, and a Lifetime Achievement Award from the BBC Sports Personality of the Year, Sebastian is an authority on reaching goals and harbouring motivation, skills he elaborates on as a virtual speaker.
