Rikki began their professional speaking career in the early nineties following a successful corporate career in sales, marketing, and PR. At the same time as their business launched, they became a consultant with the Insurance Trading Exchange where they held monthly conferences throughout the UK. In 2002, Rikki decided to make an admirable career change and announced they were going to become the first openly transgender speaker.
