Richard Reed is the co-founder of Innocent Drinks, the brand behind the global sensation, Innocent Smoothies. The brand is now instantly recognisable across the globe and has made Richard one of the most successful British entrepreneurs. From here he’s gone on to write his own business advice book and host a hit BBC series, Be Your Own Boss. Richard is also one of the most down-to-earth and relatable virtual speakers on the market. Having struggled with debt before his business took off, he knows all too well the struggles life can bring. As an inspiring virtual speaker, he is able to share his experiences with audiences showing them what it’s possible to achieve with self-belief, determination and hard work.
In 2013 Richard and his team sold the brand to Coca-Cola having become the biggest in Europe. Despite this Richard has remained active in the business world launching Jamjar Investments and the charity Art Everywhere. In 2019 he was awarded a CBE for his services to the food industry and charity reflecting how highly regarded he is within the business community.
Realising he didn’t want to create a run of the mill brand Richard and his friends originally opened up a market stall selling food and drink. Wanting to inject personality into the brand they also focused on quirky marketing which would help them stand out in the market. After realising the consumers loved their products, which used only fresh ingredients, they took the plunge. After carrying out a vote at their stall the team resigned from their day jobs the next day to concentrate on the brand. Four years and lots of debt later they began getting traction eventually dominating the industry.
Now, in his capacity as a virtual speaker Richard is able to empower his audiences to follow their goals. Not only is he one of the most admired business leaders in the country but his story makes him among the most unique and not to be missed.
