Rachel Riley

Rachel Riley is best known for being a co-presenter of Countdown. Fronting the mathematics section and putting the letters on the board, Rachel has become a household name after her time on the programme. Having also presented 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, Friday Night Football and Fantasy Football Club, Rachel has over a decades experience behind the camera, giving her reputable qualities for online event hosting and facilitating. Rachel has also previously provided coverage of the BAFTA Awards red carpet and co-presented The Gadget Show, proving her credibility as a virtual event host.

Before becoming a famous figure of British television, Rachel attended Oriel College in Oxford where she obtained a Masters Degree in Mathematics. In the early days of her career, Rachel took the opportunity to intern with Deutsche Bank in London but found that she did not like the financial sector and instead made her television debut in 2009. Rachel joined Countdown back in 2009, beating 1000s of applicants to secure the role despite having no prior television experience. Other prominent television appearances include as a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing, presenter of Its Not Rocket Science and guest appearances on shows such as This Morning, Celebrity Mastermind, Top Gear, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? and Room 101. Outside of television, Rachel has been seen speaking about Anti-Semitism having delivered speeches that saw her become the recipient of the Warrior of Truth Award in 2019. She is also an advocate for Women in STEM subjects, championing women working in often male-dominated sectors.
