Inmaculada ‘Inma’ Martinez is a pioneering figure in artificial intelligence and digital innovation, widely regarded as one of Europe’s leading voices on the future of technology. A government advisor, entrepreneur and data scientist, she has spent over 25 years shaping the global conversation on AI, digital transformation and human-centric technology. Inma began her career in finance, working as an Analyst at Goldman Sachs, before moving into technology strategy with Cable & Wireless Plc, where she advised on emerging digital services across Europe, the USA and Asia. She went on to found Escape Velocity Technology, pioneering one of the first real-time AI personalisation engines for mobile content. Recognised by Lehman Brothers as one of ‘Europe’s 20 Leading Wireless Companies’, her venture positioned her at the forefront of behavioural machine learning. Inma later joined JUTEL Visual Radio as CEO, developing the world’s first interactive radio streaming app—technology later acquired by Nokia. These early innovations placed her among the pioneers who built the foundations of today’s connected world.

Over the years, Inma has advised multiple governments and international institutions on AI and data governance. She has served as Chair of the Multi-Stakeholder Expert Group and Co-Chair of the Steering Committee at the Global Partnership on AI (GPAI), the G7/OECD initiative for international cooperation on artificial intelligence. She also leads GPAI’s ‘SAFE’ project on AI safety and model validation and serves on Spain’s AI Council Advisory Board.
