Carey Lohrenz

A pioneer in military aviation, Carey Lohrenz made history as the first-ever female F-14 Tomcat pilot in the U.S. Navy. Now applying her expert military skillset to a corporate setting, Carey uses her knowledge to drive success in others as a virtual speaker, reaching audiences globally.

A former lieutenant, Carey began her military pilot training at the Naval Airstation Pensacola, then attending flight school in Naval Air Station Corpus Christi and the Naval Airstation Kingsville. Soon after receiving her Naval Aviator Wings of Gold, Carey was one of the two first female Naval Aviators in the U.S. Navy to train as a fighter pilot in the F-14 Tomcat.

As a pilot, any slight mistake could be catastrophic and so high-performance was an essential part of Carey’s role. As a result, she is well-equipped at dealing with high-pressure situations, also acquiring invaluable skills such as risk management, teamwork, leadership and overcoming obstacles. Carey often relates these fundamentals of military success to the corporate environment.
