Star presenter of Man vs. Wild, Bear Grylls is the UK’s go-to survival expert. His regular appearances rocketed Bear to the dizzying heights of fame, earning him a world of loyal fans and a lifetime of anecdotes, which he retells virtual events. Including Running Wild with Bear Grylls and The Island with Bear Grylls, as well as his outdoor guide, Bear Grylls Outdoor Adventures, and other publications, he has earned a reputation for his bold, brave adventuring style. When booked for events, Bear inspires audiences with his determination and grit.

Debuting in 2006, Bear’s claim to fame is Man vs. Wild, an adventuring show that saw him face some of the world’s toughest climates. He went on host Worst Case Scenarios and Bear’s Wild Weekend, which has featured such celebrities as Miranda Hart and Jonathan Ross. He even joined forces with Former US President Barack Obama for an episode of Running Wild with Bear Grylls. Additional shows include Mission Survive and Bear Grylls Survival School, as well as his recent Amazon Prime series, World’s Toughest Race: Eco-Challenge Fiji, in 2020.

Aside from his media roles, Bear is also a determined adventurist, having summited Mount Everest in 1998, circumnavigated the UK in 2000 and crossed the North Atlantic in 2003. Taking his missions to the extreme, he has also hosted a dinner party 25,000 ft in the air, and reached one of the most remote unclimbed peaks in the world. These adventures and more are showcased in his Bear’s book, which includes Born Survivor: Bear Grylls and Mud, Sweat and Tears: The Autobiography, his debut autobiography.

Educated at the University of the West of England, Bear joined the British Army reserves following his graduation, as a trooper with 21 SAS. Specialising in survival, he later became an instructor, where he taught cadets the secrets of surviving some of the earth’s greatest challenges. Bear was later awarded the honorary rank of lieutenant commander in the Royal Naval Reserve and lieutenant colonel in the Royal Marines Reserve. A truly inspiring figure, Bear is the perfect virtual speaker for your teamwork or leadership-themed webinar.
