Alistair & Jonathan Brownlee

Alistair and Jonathan Brownlee are best known as champion triathletes, who both hold a number of World Championship and Olympic titles. Alistair Brownlee is the only athlete that holds two triathlon Olympic titles and was appointed MBE in 2013 for his services to the sport of triathlons. Jonathan Brownlee is well known for being the 2012 Triathlon World Champion and has also claimed a gold, silver and bronze Olympic Medal. He also received an MBE in 2022. The pair are frequently seen competing together in top sporting competitions, battling out head-to-head to claim the top spot.

From a young age both brothers possessed a talent for sports. Jonathan began swimming for Aireborough Swimming Club, to this day still holding the boys 9/10 years 2 length backstroke record. He also claimed many prominent victories in his youth career, including the triathlon and duathlon British Youth Champion title in 2006 and 2007. Alistair competed in cross country tournaments in his youth career, with prominent victories including finishing in second place at the Junior English Cross Country Championships. Alistair also studied a degree in sports science and physiology at the University of Leeds.

Since the early days of their careers, both brothers have claimed immense success. Alistair and Jonathan have honed their skills in obtaining peak performance, motivation, perseverance, overcoming adversity and determination to succeed, all topics of which they cover as virtual event speakers. The pair know what it takes to succeed in elite sport, boasting an impressive tally of two gold Olympic medals, one silver Olympic medal, one bronze Olympic medal, 11 ITU World Championship medals and three Commonwealth Games gold medals between them.
