Simon Thomas is a gifted broadcaster and mental health advocate whose story has resonated deeply with audiences around the world. Known for his warmth, professionalism and openness, Simon now shares his lived experience of grief and mental resilience as a sought-after keynote speaker, available for virtual and in-person events. After more than two decades on screen, he brings not only presentation expertise but also emotional depth to every event he hosts or speaks at. Whether addressing corporate teams, healthcare professionals or public audiences, he offers powerful messages of hope, vulnerability and strength.

Simon’s media career began in 1999 when he became a presenter on the iconic children’s programme Blue Peter, where he spent six years completing over 40 skydives with the RAF Falcons, climbing Mount Kilimanjaro and Mont Blanc, and even presenting a Gold Blue Peter badge to Queen Elizabeth II. After leaving children’s television in 2005, he joined Sky Sports News, going on to become one of the network’s most recognisable faces. He presented Football League and Premier League coverage, the 2010 Ryder Cup, the Cricket World Cup, and served as lead presenter on Premier League coverage from 2016. Today, he is the host of Soccer Saturday, Sky Sports’ flagship football programme.

In 2017, Simon’s life changed suddenly when his wife Gemma died just three days after being diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia. He stepped away from broadcasting to focus on raising their son, but soon began sharing his journey through grief. He became President of Blood Cancer UK, authored two bestselling books – Love, Interrupted: Navigating Grief One Day at a Time and Love, Interrupted: Navigating Grief, Finding Hope – and launched the Life Interrupted podcast. His honest storytelling has earned praise from national media, including appearances on This Morning, Sunday Morning Live, and BBC Morning Live, where he continues to raise awareness about mental health and leukaemia.

As a virtual speaker, Simon delivers impactful keynotes on mental health, grief, sobriety and resilience. He has spoken for organisations such as Aviva, Linklaters, the Home Office, and Nomad Foods, receiving heartfelt praise for his authenticity and ability to connect. Combining his TV experience with raw personal insight, he creates space for open conversations around mental wellbeing. Whether hosting an online event or leading a virtual keynote, Simon brings clarity, compassion and strength to every audience he meets.
