After noticing the uncomfortable nature of her own brassieres, she decided to create a brand that would change this. Alongside her husband Michael, Michelle founded MJM International before launching Ultimo in London’s Selfridges. The brand went on to become known around the world with stores launching in the USA and in Europe.
Upon selling the company in 2014 Michelle was recruited by David Cameron’s UK Government to provide business advice. This shows just how highly esteemed she is regarded and in 2015 this was further compounded when she was appointed into the House of Lords.
